Here are our five favorite restaurants in the Canggu area, check this out !

1. Merah Putih

With its arched white ceiling, wood furnishings, and glass windows that let in abundant light during the day, Merah Putih is one beautiful and breezy venue. It even brings the outdoors in by way of decorative trees and plants, which are placed near the tables. At night, the restaurant turns into a posh, dimly lit spot ideal for intimate gatherings and first dates alike. Expect Indonesian cuisine with a modern twist, with dishes such as Sumatran lamb loin, suckling pig with cassava leaves, and Makassar oxtail broth with egg yolk.

Its menu highlights include burgers, roasted cauliflower salad, nasi campur (a traditional mixed rice dish), and lamb curry. If you’re there for high tea, be sure to try one of its 50 different tea blends, which are sourced from China, Indonesia and India.

4. Kilo Bali

Run by the same folks behind Kilo Kallang, Kilo Lounge and Camp Kilo in Singapore, this Bali outpost showcases an eclectic menu of Asian and Western dishes such as banh mi (Vietnamese style sandwiches), avocado toast, and tacos. We recommend the Balinese pork rice bowl, which is topped with a scrumptious and hearty mix of tender barbecued pork, sausage, sambal matah (a raw sambal of shallots, chilli and lemongrass), crunchy pork crackling, and a runny egg.
